One-to-one mentoring and composition feedback for students working in and towards film music, production music, trailer music and other media applications. I combine an active career in media composition with over twenty years of professional teaching experience. Sessions are practical, detailed and centred on your work, with tailored feedback, support for academic work and guidance for industry goals.

Feedback package - from £50
Receive detailed, actionable feedback on your submitted work, delivered in a format to suit your work: written notes, annotated scores and/or short recorded examples.
Hybrid feedback package - from £60
Submit your music in advance to be analysed then discussed in a 30 minute live session via video link for clarifications and further guidance.
In-person mentoring session (Harrogate) - £65/hr
1-1 session in my Harrogate studio, covering any areas of composition, technical or professional development tailored to your goals.

Sessions work best with students who have some musical foundation or basic DAW familiarity, but motivated beginners are welcome to enquire.

Yes. Most composition students work with me online, but in-person sessions are also available in Harrogate.

Yes. Feedback sessions can be booked on a one-off basis, though mentoring is most effective when followed up with progression updates.

Demonstrations are given in Logic Pro, but feedback is applicable to any DAW or production platform.

Submission requirements are different for each project, but typically include notated score, audio stems, MIDI files and/or Logic project files.
